I made some power comparison runs to compare the Castle 85HV and the YGE 80HV controllers as far as performance and power consumption.
YGE80HV vs. Castle.
The YGE was set at 24 degrees and the Castle was bumped to "medium" to make the settings closer than the "low" setting I normally use. battery was fresh charge True RC 20C pack and APC 21-14 - Plettenberg 30-10 EVO motor. The test was to see how many amps were necessary to produce a given rpm figure.

The YGE has power consumption numbers anywhere from similar to the Castle's to 10% less for a given rpm. Also, the full throttle rpm number was 270 rpms more with the YGE while using 3.8 fewer amps.
